Martini Party Games

You could always use the reliable stand-by Martini Party games such as strip poker or adult truth or dare, but if your Martini Party guests may not be ready for such a sexy plunge, then these party games may help.

(Here's a Martini Party idea: Martini books make cool "prizes" for your Martini games.)

Find the Lie
See how well you know your Martini Party guests. During the beginning of the party, have each guest think of two truths and one lie about themselves, and have them write them down on a piece of paper. It is much more effective if the truths are somewhat outlandish and the lie is more believable. This makes it harder for the other guests to tell the lie. In turn, the Martini party host read each set of two truths and a lie. The group gets to discuss the statements and has to figure out who they belong to and guess which is the lie. The person then reveals the actual lie and the next person takes their turn.

Aura
This game is a great spectator sport for your Martini Party. Set up several groups of two people. These people will compete with each other. Two partners stand face-to-face, arms extended, palms touching. Either blindfold each person or have them close their eyes. Have them turn around three times and try to find their partners palms again and return to their original positions without looking.

Memory Game
During the night the host may collect some small tokens of the party, including pieces of martini garnish, napkins, stirrers, etc. Place them on a tray and at some point give everyone a piece of paper. The host will expose the tray of items for 20 seconds and then take them out of sight. The object of this game is for guests to write down as many of the items as they can remember.

Head Bobbing
Fill up a separate bowl of ice cubes in front of each party guest, and have them compete trying to grab the cubes without using hands to transfer the cubes from the bowl into a martini glass. Given 30 seconds, see who can move the most cubes (usually using mouth or tongue) into the glass.

Bouncing Ball
This game has Martini party guests imagine a bouncing ball as they sit in a circle. The rules for this one are very simple, but for some strange reason they seem to get a bit more confusing as the game goes on. Somebody has to "get the ball rolling" by saying one of the following words, each has a different meaning;

"Whiz" = ball moves on to the next player
"Bounce" = ball skips the next player and moves on to the following
"Boing" = ball hits a wall and switches direction

The penalty for any blunders is sipping your Martini.

Guests are reminded to remember their limits and play responsibly.
